Family Involvement
Texas A&M University-Victoria Family Involvement ties students’ families to resources aimed at helping students succeed academically and socially while in school. A&M-Victoria also offers its students and their families the opportunity to connect with the university and its faculty and staff through an event called A&M-Victoria Family Weekend, which is held each academic year. This event provides families ample interaction with A&M-Victoria faculty and staff, university programs and Athletics in an effort to build a sense of pride and support for A&M-Victoria students.
Family Weekend
A&M-Victoria Family Weekend is an annual event that brings students and their families together to enjoy a variety of fun activities, connect with faculty and staff, and create lasting memories.
Registration: Please complete our online Registration Form to register you and your loved ones for Family Weekend 2026. You must register to receive the free meal tickets and t-shirts! Deadline to register is Tues., Sept. 29 at midnight.

FRI., OCT. 2:
- Check-In Table: Noon-5 p.m. | University Commons Lobby
- Students stop by and pick up a schedule, meal tickets, and event maps for the campus and Tejas Fest downtown! Also check out the JagStation Bookstore for great university merch to wear with pride.
- Family Dinner: 5-8 p.m. | Jaguar Dining Hall
- Grab a tasty buffet dinner with your family members. Use your meal tickets which allow you and two family members to eat for free!
- Tejas Fest*: 5:30-11:30 p.m. | De Leon Plaza
- Check out local vendors, tasty food trucks, and live performances by Grupo Anaya, Monica Saldivar, EZ Band, and De Parranda on the main stage!
*Shuttles will be provided from Jag Hall and Smith Hall on a loop.
SAT., OCT 3:
Walk 2 End Alzheimer's: 8-10 a.m. | University Center (front entrance)
- Support a good cause and get in a great workout! Check out the website for walk details and click here to register.
Family Fest: Noon-2 p.m. | University Commons
- Enjoy free food, fun activities, inflatables, yard games, dunk tank, a rock wall, and more! T-shirts will be available for those who couldn't make it on Friday.
Student VS Parents Dodgeball: 2-3:30 p.m. | Health & Wellness Center Court
- Parents and siblings can take on A&M-Victoria students in a free-for-all game of dodgeball.
Men VS. Women Volleyball: 4-5:30 p.m. | Health & Wellness Center Court
- Watch the men's and women's volleyball teams duke it out to see who wins bragging right for the year.
Tejas Fest*: 6-11:30 p.m. | De Leon Plaza
- Watch performances by Devin Michaels, Bubba Westly, Adysen Malek, and headliner DOS BORRACHOS featuring Kevin Fowler & Roger Creager.
*Shuttles will be provided from Jag Hall and Smith Hall on a loop.
