Police Department
The University Police Department (UPD) is a department of the Division of Operations at Texas A&M University dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of individuals and property on campus. This commitment involves providing services and educational programs to equip people with essential knowledge and skills, and promoting unity, shared responsibility, collaboration, and open communication among all members of the university community.
Every Police Department employee uses three principles to help ensure that the A&M-Victoria campus is a protected, user-friendly venue:
- Promote and preserve a safe campus environment,
- Identify and implement efficiencies, and
- Provide great customer service.
These Principles, in practice, help to make the A&M-Victoria campus a great place to study, work, and/or visit.
